For me creativity is a way of living, sometimes a means of surviving, always a way of sharing. My mediums move primarily between ceramics, glass, and paint. I am drawn to explore texture and the effect of time on surfaces. I try to create art to live with and touch, life enhancing pieces that connect to the environment and heritage of these islands. My inspiration is drawn from the coastline and legends of this place I call home. Inspiring creativity in others is integral to my life as an artist. I love to teach and hopefully inspire others to live more fully through their own creativity. -McCall Gilfillan
